There is only one Slovak race driver with a starts at 24h Le Mans. Miro Konôpka was there three times and on two occasions he did it to the chequered flag. In 2017 he was there under Slovak national flag with his own team ARC Bratislava. And he wants to get back to France next year. And he is trying to fight for it in the Asian Le Mans Series.
“If I will not try it I can regret it in a future,” said most experienced Slovak race driver before the start of Agile 4H Shanghai race. “I put up a great team together. We will see what we can achieve here.”
Britton Darren Burke and Chinese talent Kang Ling will join Miro Konôpka behind the wheel of Ligier JS P217 with Gibson engine. Starts in Asian Le Mans Series are the big challenge for them both. “Cooperation of ARC Bratislava and Greaves Motorsport offers a good package with a chance to get a success,” Darren Burke said after Free practice 1 on a Shanghai International Circuit.
